Growth
- Living things grow during at least some stage of their life cycle, where growth is defined as an irreversible gain in size (mass).
- Animals stop growing once they reach adulthood, but plants will continue to grow (at least in thickness) throughout their lives.
- The speed of growth will vary widely among organisms. For example, bamboo and other grasses grow very quickly, whereas moss and lichen grow very slowly.

All living things grow.
